Early mining (pre-retriver)

First off, this is for jet can mining using a regular ejected cargo container. For those of you who don't know what jet can mining is its when you go to a good mining spot, and as you mine you put your ores into a cargo container you jettison'd into space (created whenever you right click an object and select jettison). Once its getting full or you've been there 45 minutes you bring an industrial ship to the spot and make a few runs to empty the can. This allows you to spend more time mining and less time running back and forth.

What I do: since my little miner would have obvious trouble doing missions I made a second account that was just pure fighting, Caldari Civire Military trained as a solider and put 3 points on perception and 2 on willpower. On this character, I trained destroyers in about 30 minutes and put 4 railguns, a missile launcher, and a small shield generator on it. The total cost is about 1.5 M to 2 M if you go expensive on it.

How this helps with mining: you go to a system where you have a relitively low quality agent specializing in something such as security (something combat based) and you get missions. As you run the missions, you look for asteroids with things such as plagioclase that you can mine. When you find these missions, bookmark the ore then, this is the most important part: You click and drag the bookmark in your people and places into your cargo hold. This is essentially like making a map to where you are. This is important: DO NOT FINISH THE MISSION, THE AREA WILL DISAPPEAR IF YOU GO AND COLLECT YOUR REWARD. The mission will stay active for a week so you have plenty of time.

Getting the map to your miner: Once you have cleared ALL pirates from the area go back to the station and put the bookmark in your hangar. Then create a contract, select private and item exhange. In the name place by private, put the name of your miner. Click next, select the station you are at, and check the box next to the bookmark. Click next until you select finish and the contract is complete. Then, log off, and go on your miner, go to contracts and accept the contract, then go to where the bookmark is placed.

Getting to the mining spot: Now, just as you dragged the bookmark from people and places to your cargo, drag the bookmark from your cargo to people and places and warp to it. Then use the acceleration gates to warp to your own, esentially hidden belt. remember that the pirates will respawn each day so don't forget to go back with your caldari destroyer and clear them out before mining the next day.

Sorry for the lengthy explanation, but I see people complaining about ore thieves and how most 0.9 areas are always out of plagioclase and scordite and I think this may be a solution. Pirates will not spawn until the next day so you can afk jet can mine there on bot without worrying about ship loss, ore thieves, etc.
