Fully Invisible/Non-Targetable in Kul'Tiras

Submitted: 3 years ago (10.22.2020)

ravel to the location of the bridge which connects Shrine of the Storms to the mainland. Because you haven't yet done the quest, there wont be a bridge here, just a stone platform on each side of the body of water. Simply walk off the end of the platform leading from the mainland going towards the Shrine of the Storms. Approaching from the opposite direction will not work. If everything works you should be walking on water. Sometimes I've noticed this doesn't work and you'll fall into the water, if so just jump back out and try again until you walk on water.

Once you've done this, you cannot be targeted by mobs or players with direct attacks. If you attack a mob and there are no other targets for it to hit, it will evade out and wont engage you. If you don't attack mobs, they will completely ignore you even if you walk directly on top of them. Classes with summons and pets can get around this by having their pets tank mobs.

Some notes about this:

* Most AoE damage sources will still damage or debuff you as long as they don't require a target (Starfall for example wont affect you, as there's no target). This wont make you visible though.
* All mobs will ignore you completely.
* There are some things you cannot do while in this state, many toys and items wont be usable as you are pacified.
* If you join a group with someone they will be able to see you, but others still wont be able to.
* If you damage another player while in this state, their combat log will show who did it. PvPing in this state is risky as it's easy to report you. If they damage you however (with AoE) it doesn't seem to track in their combat log at all.
* Loading screens seem to end this effect, so it can't be taken off of Kul'Tiras. Logging out will also end the effect.

A few applications for this exploit:
* War Mode PvP is completely broken with this. You are 100% invisible and cannot be targeted directly. By extension, you can also relatively safely steal the war mode air drops without being seen.
* Gathering can be done without having to worry about mobs attacking or bothering you.
* Fringe usage, but you can also do things like bid on listings on the BMAH without being seen by friendly players.

There's probably some other creative ways to abuse this that I haven't thought of yet. Feel free to add yours below.

Does this still work?
