Tabula Rasa is now free to play until the termination of the game on the 28th of February 2009.
Tabula Rasa is a prime example of the harsh reality surrounding the MMORPG genre. Over-saturation is becoming a serious problem, as games bearing monthly subscriptions do not enjoy a breadth of patrons as readily as normal games do. NCSoft's stumble here should be a warning to would-be MMO creators: even with some good ideas, it doesn't take much for one of these expensive projects to fail.
