Beijing, China opens World of Warcraft Restaurant
It can be hard getting your favorite gamer out of the house, but one method always seems to do the trick: theme restaurants! China is probably too far for most of us to travel for a meal and little video game-themed ambience, but if you're hardcore enough about everyone's favorite MMORPG, then a trip to Bejing's new World of Warcraft restaurant may be just want the Lich King ordered. In keeping with the country's notoriously loose copyright regulations, the restaurant features a décor based heavily on Blizzard massively popular online game. Switched explains: And if you don't pay your check, we can only assume you'll have to do some time in the restaurant's gold farming mines. The entrance to the restaurant is a recreation of the Dark Portal, the intro animation from 'WoW: The Burning Crusade.' Once you get inside, the walls are lined with pictures and TVs showing scenes and footage from the game, and the dishes get their name from WoW's characters. To top it all off, the main dining area, "The Hall of Snow Storms," features a large tree at its center and warriors clad in replica armor .
