The Realm Connection AH Item Dupe

Recently when Blizzard did another round of realm connections, it lead to another item dupe. This exact same dupe happened when they did the last round of AH connections years ago, so there is a fair (but not 100%) chance that this will happen again with their next set of connections.

It is very simple to execute.

Have an item listed on the AH for a realm that was about to be connected, ideally at a price no one would buy it at. You want to have it set up so that it expires while the realms are offline during maintenance time. Good items for this are TCG mounts, unobtainable items or patterns, or expensive battle pets.

This will work easiest with rare battle pets as they can be moved cross realm with no upfront expense of character transfers.

Once you log back in after connections and maintenance is complete, you'll have multiple expired item mails in your mailbox, one for each realm that were connected.

That's all there is to it.

This means you could execute anything from a 1x to a 4x dupe on any auctionable item.

Obvious warnings:

There's no guarantee this will work next time, but it has worked for the last three times, recently re-confirmed as of a couple of days ago.
There's no guarantee you will get to keep the items. I've kept items from the last few times, but things change.
There's no guarantee your account is safe. There is a chance you will get banned. Don't do this on any account or PC you care about.

Now that it's been posted there's a fair chance it'll be fixed. I know it has been bug reported, but it was bug reported every other time too.
